  It differs from conventional systems by having 7 integrated groundglass markings (patent applied). That means there is no need (any more) to exchange ground glasses. A part of the optical system is a wheel with 7 groundglass markings, most of them are combi-markings, which can be turned manually at the left side of the OIC-16. The OIC-16 is a precise instrument which was conceived for the rough use at a film set.The housing is of light alloy, hermetically sealed and fitted with a 54 PL mount to adapt lenses.
   
 
   
 
 
The ¼” thread in the housing, as well as the handle enables to mount the OIC to a tripod (e.g. one leg tripod) which is very handy when using longer ranges of focus
The ergonomic designed wooden handle lies in the hand phantastically and the fastening stirrup on the top allows to clamp it at any snap hook
